How do I set-up the ring?  

Set-up your personal info, emergency contact info and PIN through our companion app.

Initial set-up: Press on stone/shell and hold the button down for 8 seconds to connect the ring to your phone.

Where is the button? How do I press it?

The button is located/hidden underneath the stone/shell of your ring.

How does the ring work/how does the alert get sent?

Please ensure that the companion app is running either in the background or foreground in order for the ring to connect/work.

Press three times (within 5 seconds): trigger a Noonlight alarm to 911 and emergency contacts.

  • Step 1: Alarm is triggered - immediately after an alarm is activated from the ring, you'll receive a text from a Noonlight dispatcher to confirm the emergency. If unable to respond to the text, you'll receive a call from a Noonlight dispatcher within 30 seconds.
  • Step 2: Help is quickly dispatched - if you confirm there is an emergency, or are unable to respond, Noonlight will send first responders to your location. If emergency contact information is provided in your profile, your emergency contacts will also be informed via SMS.

If an alarm is triggered accidentally or you no longer need help, cancel the Noonlight Alarm by entering your PIN or via call or SMS with the Noonlight dispatcher.

Optional: an audible SOS siren from your phone can be pre-set to be triggered with the Noonlight alarm.

Do I need my cell phone on me or nearby for the ring to work?

Yes, the ring needs to be within Bluetooth range of the phone that has the companion app installed and paired with the ring. Your device must support Bluetooth 5.0. 

We use your phone’s cellular data or WI-FI to send the Noonlight alarm. Please ensure that you have service and the companion app is running either in the background or foreground in order for the ring to connect/function.

Does the device work with all smartphones?

The ring works with iPhone models running iOS 16 and higher.

What if I accidentally trigger the ring? 

You can go to the companion app and enter your PIN within 10 seconds to cancel the Noonlight alarm. 

You can also use the same PIN to cancel the audible SOS siren from your phone.

Does it work internationally?

Our SOS features are currently only available in the US.

Do I need to charge the battery?

No, we use a lithium coin cell battery that will last for about 1 year if the ring is triggered once a month.

Why does the product only last for one year?

Given the battery lifetime of the product (for this generation), but also to ensure that only rings that are still covered by the manufacturer warranty period are in the field in order to ensure product reliability. 

We are keeping in mind design requirements for our rings to be rechargeable and/or serviceable for future product generations. 

You may wear the ring after the one-year product warranty and lifetime as a piece of non-functional jewelry or send the ring back to us for recycling. Please email us at hello@wearopal.com or complete the form on our Contact page if you would like to recycle your ring and we will send you a shipping label.

Is the ring waterproof or water resistant?

The ring is sweat and weather resistant but not waterproof, meaning that you can wear it while exercising and if you are caught in the rain, but we don’t recommend submerging it in water.

What sizes do the rings come in?

The rings come in half sizes 4 through 10. 

We recommend wearing the ring on the index finger to allow for triggering the ring using the same hand (with the thumb) in an emergency situation.

How do I find my ring size?

Visiting a local jeweler to have your finger sized is the only way to guarantee a perfect fit. Please note that each finger will have a different size.

We recommend wearing the ring on the index finger to allow for triggering the ring using the same hand (with the thumb) in an emergency situation.

If you cannot make it to your local jeweler please reach out to us at hello@wearopal.com to request a ring sizer. Kindly keep in mind that we cannot accept exchanges due to incorrect sizing. 

We offer resizing for a $55 standard fee plus the cost of shipping. Rings can be brought up or down .5-1 sizes, and the adjustment will be completed 4-6 weeks from the receipt of your ring. If you would like to request a resize please contact hello@wearopal.com.

How should I care for the jewelry?

You may use a clean silver polishing cloth every now and then to help maintain the Argentium Silver’s shine and luster. Please make sure the polishing cloth is soft and clean as otherwise it could damage the surface. 

Please be cautious when coming into contact with other metals that might cause cosmetic damages to the ring (i.e. dent the Argentium Silver or scratch the stone/shell on your ring).
