We had the opportunity to attend the 2025 Luxury Education Foundation (LEF) Luxury Round Table as an alumna of the LEF Class of 2020. Having previously worked on Audemars Piguet as a brand, our founder, Jen Chiang, has remained an active member of the LEF alumni network, gaining invaluable insights into the luxury sector and the evolving expectations of consumers.
While WearOpal is not a luxury product, we draw inspiration from the luxury sector’s focus on customer experience, ensuring that users feel supported, heard, and looked after. At WearOpal, the reliability of our product and safety is the most important thing we focus on. Our personal safety smart ring exemplifies this commitment, providing a discreet and dependable way for users to alert 911 and emergency contacts when safety is at risk.
During the event, one presentation highlighted Gen Z’s key priorities in evaluating a brand: authenticity and craftsmanship. These takeaways resonated deeply with WearOpal’s mission, reinforcing that trust, reliability, and thoughtful design are essential not just in luxury goods but in personal safety technology.
We also want to congratulate the 2025 LEF class for their hard work, innovative strategies, and insightful findings. Their dedication to building strong brand experiences reflects the same principles that WearOpal applies to creating products that genuinely serve and protect its users.
A special thank you to Ketty and the LEF team for organizing such an inspiring and insightful event and for their teachings that continue to guide us.
By blending lessons from the luxury sector with a focus on safety and usability, WearOpal continues to craft personal safety smart rings that prioritize both functionality and user confidence, demonstrating that thoughtful design and attention to customer experience matter in every industry.
